At the Battle of Lexington Green, Prince Estabrook, an enslaved Black man, answered the call of history and fought alongside the Minute Men. He was wounded in battle, making him one of the first Americans to spill blood in the Revolutionary War.

Later, Estabrook joined the Continental Army and ultimately won his own freedom, contributing to the independence of the nation. His legacy endures, and today, he is being honored for his service.
