Breaking News: Lawmakers Call for End to U.S. Funds Flowing to Taliban

Congressional Leaders Demand Accountability on Federal Spending

In a fiery statement, lawmakers have raised alarms over billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars being funneled to Afghanistan’s Central Bank, allegedly benefiting the Taliban-controlled government. They argue that the Biden administration has failed to prevent American funds from falling into the hands of terrorists.

“In recent weeks, we’ve discovered—what many of us have already known—that U.S. taxpayer dollars are being squandered, wasted, and sometimes sent directly to the bad guys.”

Afghanistan Withdrawal & Its Aftermath

Lawmakers specifically pointed to the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan three and a half years ago under President Biden and Vice President Harris, calling it a disaster that resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members.

Since then, Afghanistan has been under Taliban control, yet the D.C. establishment has continued to send billions to the region, essentially financing a terrorist regime, they claimed.

“It’s abhorrent to think that our taxpayer dollars have been used to aid terrorists, but that’s exactly what Joe Biden and his cronies allowed to occur.”

A Call for Fiscal Responsibility & ‘America First’ Policies

With the national debt exceeding $36 trillion, lawmakers are demanding a halt to reckless spending—especially when it comes to sending money overseas to hostile entities. They argued that America must prioritize its own citizens rather than funding terrorism abroad.

“This nation has a $36 trillion-plus debt. We must rein in federal spending, and we certainly cannot continue funding terrorism abroad.”

They also praised former President Trump’s leadership, crediting his administration for working to restore American sovereignty on the world stage and strengthen the “America First” agenda.

“When America is strong, there is peace in the world. When America is weak, groups like the Taliban take over entire nations—and they use our money to get stronger.”

Legislative Action to Stop Funding Terrorism

Lawmakers are pushing for legislation to codify President Trump’s policy priorities and cut off funding that could potentially benefit terrorist organizations. The bill, introduced by Congressman Tim Burchett, aims to restore fiscal sanity and ensure taxpayer money is not misused.

“This common-sense legislation by my friend Tim Burchett is a great step to restore fiscal sanity and prioritize America First policies in Congress.”

A Call to Action for Congressional Leadership

Urging swift action, lawmakers called on House Speaker Mike Johnson to move quickly in advancing the bill. They emphasized the need for immediate passage so it can be signed into law by President Trump.

“Let’s get a move on. Let’s get this stuff done. Let’s get it done right.”

What’s Next?

As the bill gains traction in Congress, the pressure is mounting for lawmakers to take decisive action. Will Congress act swiftly to cut off funds to the Taliban, or will the debate stall in political gridlock?

This remains a developing story—stay tuned for further updates.
