    Fans of The Last of Us wonโ€™t have to wait much longer for the continuation of Ellieโ€™s journey. HBO has confirmed that Season 2 will premiere within the Emmy Awards eligibility window, meaning it will arrive before May 31, 2025.

    Itโ€™s clear that HBO wants the highly acclaimed series to compete in next yearโ€™s Primetime Emmy Awards, following its multiple nominations in 2023. The first season received nods for Outstanding Drama Series and lead performances from Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, while Nick Offerman (Bill) and Storm Reid (Riley) took home awards for guest performances.

    The second season will cover the first half of The Last of Us Part II and will feature a larger cast. Caitlyn Dever has been confirmed to play Abby, alongside Bella Ramsey, who returns as an older Ellie. Pedro Pascalโ€™s Joel will take a secondary role this season.

    Season 2 will consist of seven episodes, and showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have hinted at plans for a third season, which could be longer than the second.

    The Sims Movie Officially in Development

    The Sims is making the jump to the big screen! Electronic Arts (EA) has confirmed that the long-running life simulation game will be adapted into a live-action movie in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios.

    According to EA, the film will be deeply rooted in The Sims universe, promising an authentic experience that long-time fans will appreciate. KG Gorman, EAโ€™s VP for The Sims, teased that iconic elements from the gameโ€”such as freezer bunnies and possibly pools without laddersโ€”will be included in the film.

    Big Names Behind the Project

    The movie will be produced by Margot Robbieโ€™s production company, LuckyChap, alongside Kate Herron, known for directing Loki. EA has also hinted at more updates leading up to The Sims 25th anniversary.
